John L. "Jack" Booth

John L. "Jack" Booth, age 83, of Sheboygan passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Jack was born October 14, 1929 in New London to the late John and Ruth (LaDuc) Booth. Jack attended Sheboygan schools and was a 1948 graduate of Central High School. Following graduation Jack proudly served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves for 6 years during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Lucy Turk in 1957 and then to Loretta Stevens on November 10, 1970. Jack was employed at Tecumseh for 43 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid trap shooter, woodworking and carving decoys. Jack was a life time member of Koenig's Conservation Club and had many friends at the Farmers and Sportsman's Club. Jack had a love of music; he was a drummer and played for several different local bands and was on the road for a couple of years in the 1950's. Jack enjoyed following the Packers and Brewers. Jack loved his family and treasured the time spent with them.

Survivors include his loving wife Loretta; four daughters Kathy Lett of Dallas, TX, Michelle (Scott) Chastain-Collins of Lexington, KY, Sheri Polster of Kiel, Jaclyn Divine of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren Austin, Tanner and his fiancé Taylor, Ryan, Kristin, Blake, Alissa and Ciera; great-grandson Jordan; nephew Paul "Boomer" Mesich Jr.; niece Susan Doyle; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Maggie Seyferth.

Family and friends may call at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S.12th St. Sheboygan on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 3-6 P.M. Funeral service will be held 6 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Prayers of committal and military honors will be accorded 10 A.M. Friday at the Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel on S. 12th Street, Sheboygan.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jack's name.
