Josephine C. Schuette

Josephine C. Schuette, age 87, of Sheboygan, died on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan. She was born on September, 17, 1924, the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Andrecic Klancer.

She attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, graduating in 1942. On July 26, 1947, she was united in marriage to Floyd Schuette. He preceded her in death. Josephine worked as a sales clerk for J.C. Penney for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1986.

She was a faithful member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church choir, Slovenian Women's Union, American Slovenian Organization, Christian Mothers Society, Songsters Singing Group and a foster grandparent for the Sheboygan Area School District. Josephine was a fun and outgoing person who enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include her four daughters, Sandra (James) Schwiner, Dianne (Robert) Strigel, both of Sheboygan, Mary Jo Simon, of Batavia, IL, Barbara (Joseph) Virant, of Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren, Richard Schwiner, Roberta (Benjamin) Strigel Walker, April (Kevin) Kaiser, Spencer Strigel, Abigail Strigel, Kathleen Strigel, Jodi Simon Matlock, Stephanie (Randi) Simon Levine, Timothy Simon, Jonathan (Nicole) Virant, Jacqueline (William) Nisporic and her ten great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 12:00P.M. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 822 New Jersey Ave, Sheboygan with Rev. Richard Cerpich, officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 10:00A.M. until the time of Mass at 12:00P.M. Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name and may be directed to the of Greater Wisconsin, 2900 Curry Lane, Suite A, Green Bay, WI 54311.

Josephine's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to TLC Homes, St. Nicholas Hospice, Countryside Manor, Dr. Clifford Martin and his nurse, Jeannie, Dr. Tracey Sherman, Dr. Sarah Smith and her nurse, Tina and Lisa Olson. Her daughter and son in law Barbara and Joseph Virant would like to thank all the people who helped care for Josephine while she lived with them.
