Steinbruecker, Lorraine E.

Lorraine E. Steinbruecker, age 96, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Harmony House in Sheboygan. She was born in Sheboygan on December 25, 1915, the daughter of the late Allan and Norma Nussbaumer Landgraf.

Lorraine attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated in 1934 from Sheboygan High School. On September 12, 1936 she was united in marriage to Edward Steinbruecker at Holy Name Catholic Church. Edward preceded her in death on May 6, 1993. She worked as a switchboard operator at Wisconsin Telephone Company for a number of years. Lorraine then started her family and was a homemaker.

She was a longtime member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters Society, Christian Women's Organization and the Head Sacristan at St. Dominic for many years. She enjoyed bowling for the Holy Name Bowling League, fishing with her husband, gardening, yard work, watching deer and feeding the birds. Lorraine also was an avid Packers and Brewers fan, she liked to listen to talk radio, playing cards especially "Sheepshead", cooking, baking, being a hostess to her guests and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons, Bob (Sandy) of Sheboygan, Rick (special friend Janis) of California, Randall (Amy) of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Lyn (Nic) York of Sheboygan, Carmen (Matthew) Arndt of Sheboygan Falls, Paul and Deylin Steinbruecker both of Sheboygan; five great-grandchildren, Chantel (Dan) Semsch, Justin Arndt, Cassandra Arndt, Roger Fischer IV and Ethan York; two great-great-grandchildren, Kyra and Kaitlin Semsch. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Johnson of Damascus, MD and her two sisters-in-law, Carol Landgraf of Seattle, WA and Freida Landgraf of Green Bay. Lorraine is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, brothers, Raymond and Robert, all preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St Dominic Catholic Church, 21st and Geele Ave., Sheboygan with Rev. Daniel Lasecki, officiating. Family and friends may call at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home(Novak-Ramm-Ziegler), 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan on Friday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., and also at church on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 10:00 A.M.. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Lorraine's name. Lorraine's family wishes to thank the staff at Harmony House and St. Nicholas Hospice for the compassion and care that was given to her.
