Mark Ward Huibregtse, age 77, of Sheboygan, WI, passed peacefully, March 30, 2013. He was the son of Dr. Willard and Helen Huibregtse and a graduate of Sheboygan North High School and the University of Wisconsin. He spent his career with the U.S. Customs service in Detroit, MI. Mark loved the outdoors and the pursuit of physical fitness and dedicated much of his retirement to volunteer service at various parks, including Big Bend National Park and Sleeping Bear Dunes. He is survived by his two children from his marriage to the late Emma (Flores) Huibregtse: Anita Flores, her husband Roy Nelles, and daughter Lucelia, of Sarasota, FL; Jon Huibregtse, his wife Sylvie, and their children Coralie and Pierre, of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his three brothers, William Hubregs (Mansfield, TX), John Huibregtse (Chantilly, VA), and Charles Huibregtse (Berlin, WI), and their families. The family thanks Wally Jacoby for his care and devotion to Mark over the past months, and the staffs at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. A service will be held at a later date. In memory, we ask that donations be made to the Endowment Fund of The Friends of Kohler-Andrae State Park (1020 Beach Park Lane, Sheboygan, WI 53081).
