Roland P. Boye
Roland P. Boye, age 87, of Plymouth, graduated to Heaven on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Plymouth Care Center.
He was born on July 18, 1925 in Random Lake son of the Late Philip and Louise (Giese) Boye.
He attended Clover Valley School and Random Lake High School, due to his eyesight he had to drop out of high school in his third year.
After having surgery on his nose he attended New Tribes Bible School in Milwaukee and in 1959 went to Papua New Guinea as a missionary where he served the Lord for 13 ½ years.
On April 12, 1968 he married Ruth May Parry of Sydney, Australia; the couple came home from New Guinea due to illness and lived in Sanford, Florida. Ruth was preceded him in death due to a bicycle accident on April 14, 1981.
God gave him Ruth Virginia Smith of Sanford, FL and they were married on September 6, 1981. She preceded him in death due to cancer on June 9, 1988.
Roland started working in the Sanford Jail and worked there counseling until 1995 when he moved to Plymouth.
On July 18, 1998, he married Mildred Provencher. She preceded him death on July 29, 2002. He later married Elizabeth Ann Miller on May 20, 2006. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2009.
Roland kept himself busy by being active in the Plymouth Alliance Church, and teaching literacy at the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
In May of 2011 he moved to assisted living at the Libby's House in Plymouth, after a bout with Pneumonia he moved to the Plymouth Care Center in December of 2012.
He is survived by his brother Roger (Millie) Boye of Oshkosh, a sister Alice (Bill) Coulter of Random Lake, a brother-in-law Jim Stuerwald of Plymouth, his step-children, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his four wives, and sister Julaine.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home (123 South Street) Plymouth with the Rev. Bill Krauss, Associate Pastor of Plymouth Alliance Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friend may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service.
