Austreng, Steven L.

Steven L. Austreng, 63, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 3, 2014 at his home.

Born September 2, 1950, Steve was a son of the late Stanley and Shirley Meinhardt Austreng. He attended St. Paul Lutheran grade school and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1968.

Steve worked for the Kohler Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ambra (Jon) Hermann and their children, Michael and Andrew of Sheboygan; and Andrea (Joseph) Knowlton and their children Dylan and Jakob of Crivitz; his brothers and sister, Danny (Kris) Austreng, Sheboygan, Kathy (Gregg) Rusch, Bella Vista, AR, Michael (JoAnn) Austreng, Cleveland, Scott Austreng, Sheboygan Falls, and Tim (Doris) Austreng, Sheboygan Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Shirley.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Roger Mealiff will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
