Sukowaty, Theodore G.

Theodore G. Sukowaty, 67, town of Meeme resident, went peacefully home to his Lord, early Saturday morning, October 12, 2013. Theodore was born on June 23, 1946, in Newton, Wisconsin, the son of the late Herbert and Catherine Leonhard Sukowaty. He attended grade school at St. Fidelis in town Meeme and graduated from St. Gregory High School in St. Nazianz, Class of 1964. He completed the Farm and Industry Short Course Program at UW-Madison. He was employed by Hipke Canning Co. of Cleveland and by Athorp Milk Hauling of Cleveland. On April 26,1974, he was united in marriage to Maureen Stuckman at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Osman. The marriage was blessed with four children, and the couple were self-employed dairy farmers in the town of Meeme until 2013.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen, Newton; two sons, Brian (Amanda Krogh) Sukowaty, Newton and Steve (Emilie Lindemann) Sukowaty, Newton; two daughters, Brenda (Mark) Riesterer, St. Nazianz and Kay (Mitchell) Voss, Newton; three grandchildren, Owen Sukowaty, Newton, Carolyn and Courtney Riesterer, St. Nazianz; three sisters, Jean (Michael) Reimer, Silver Cliff, WI; Gerette Sukowaty, Manitowoc; Lynette (Joseph) Mierzejewski, Elkhart Lake; one brother, John (Kathy) Sukowaty, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law and her husband, Bonnie (Ralph) Lutze, Newton. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Catherine and Herbert Sukowaty and his mother and father-in-law, Norman and Linda Stuckman; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at St Gregory Catholic Church, 212 Church St., St. Nazianz. Reverend Father Patrick Nelson will be celebrant of the Mass and burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Town Centerville. Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, 1056 Hemlock St., Cleveland on Tuesday evening, October 15, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at St. Gregory Catholic Church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in Theodore's name.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Johnson and his nurses at the Medical Arts Building in Sheboygan and the staff at Sheboygan Dialysis Center and St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice for the caring support they provided to Theodore.
