Gensch, Linda L.
Linda L. Gensch, age 63, of Oostburg, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Sheboygan on July 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Leland and Elizabeth Martin Dyke.
Linda attended local schools and graduated from Kohler High School in 1968. She then was employed at the Kohler Company working in various departments until 2004. Linda very much enjoyed her time at Kohler, in particular, the camaraderie that she had with her coworkers. On July 21, 1973, she was united in marriage to David J. Gensch in Kohler.
Linda enjoyed showing dogs and was longtime member of the Sheboygan Dog Training Club, Golden Retriever Club and 4-H Dog Project at the County Fair. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and organizing retirement and Christmas parties for the Pottery Department while she was at the Kohler Company.
Survivors include her husband, David, of Oostburg; her sister, Debra (Bill King) Dyke, of Elkhart Lake; her mother-in-law, Bernice Gensch, of Sheboygan Falls; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard (Sue) Gensch, of Sheboygan, Mark (Nancy) Gensch, Susan (Mark) Stevens, both of Sheboygan Falls, Keith (Gina) Gensch, Nancy (Robert) Trost, Jack (Lori) Gensch, all of Sheboygan and Donna (Randy) Meyer, of Las Vegas; nieces and nephews, Charlotte King, Corey (Kristi) Gensch, Rachael (Tim) Buda, Stacy (friend Mark Malwitz) Stevens, Theresa (Chris) Korff, Crystal (Bart) Schmitz, Jessica (Kyle) Hagemeier, Jordan Gensch, Brian Gensch and Kevin Gensch. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Linda will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Rev. Dr. Steve Pedersen, officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00P.M., and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M... Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Linda's name. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Oostburg EMS, ER and ICU staff at Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care that was given to Linda.
