Estermae Ehler, age 93, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014. She was born in Waldo, Wisconsin on November 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Dorst) Wierman. Estermae attended school in Waldo and continued her college education at Central College in Pella, Iowa. She was a high school teacher when she met and married her late husband, Christian Ehler. They were married January 23, 1947 at her parent's home in Waldo. Chris passed away March 24, 1986.
Estermae was an avid bridge player. After her retirement from Heritage Insurance, she continued playing bridge and also enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry for St. Luke's Methodist Church and the Salvation Army.
Estermae is lovingly survived by her daughter Beth Ehler of Thiensville; her sister, Lois Nuernberg of Scottsdale, Arizona; a niece and nephews.
Estermae is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristine Ehler and brothers: Alan Wierman and Ervin Wierman.
A Memorial Service for Estermae will be held at 11:00 AM on June 14, 2014 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 623 Ontario Avenue, Sheboygan. Friends will be welcomed for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund will be set up in Estermae's name at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
