Lois J. Zander
Lois J. Zander, age 75 of Sheboygan passed away Friday morning June 13, 2014. Lois was born December 23, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Walter and Elvera (Wollin) Schumacher. Lois was united in marriage to Eldor Zander on August 17, 1957 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Eldor preceded her in death on July 1, 1994. Lois lived in the Shawano area for a time where she was a member of the Shawano Amvets Auxiliary Post #10. Lois was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, worked at Lakeshore Display and most recently at Bill's Corner Café. More than anything Lois loved spending time and taking care of her family especially her great-nephew "lumber Jack", "paper boy", Jack Carlson.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Zander and Annette Abhold both of Sheboygan; grandchildren Sara (Anthony) DeSpain of the Town of Sheboygan, Andria Abhold of Plymouth, Richard Jr. (Tasha) Abhold of Plymouth; niece Carol (Christopher) Carlson of Sheboygan; great nephew Jack Carlson; great-grandchildren Taylor and Mattea; sister Gertrude Tupper of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law Marilyn Schumacher of Sheboygan Falls, Dorothy Gouine of Shawano, Delores Peters of St. Paul, MN; dearest and longtime friend Phyllis Brunnbauer; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Walt and Roland Schumacher, sister Ann Schumacher and two brothers-in-law Doug Peters and Larry Gouine.
Family and friends may call at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 6706 Superior Ave. in the Town of Sheboygan on Monday June 16, 2014 from 1-3 P.M. Memorial service will be held in the chapel at 3 P.M. Monday with the Rev. Marcus Powers, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, officiating.
