James N. Deligiannis

Born on May 26, 1922 in Kalamata, Greece and passed away August 1, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He attended schools in Greece until his graduation from high school. While in Greece, James was a clerk for the Red Cross during a time of war. In 1952 he met Margaret Mouzoures and they married on August 2, 1953 and were married for 46 years. Shortly after their marriage they moved to the United States and in 1956 James became a naturalized United States citizen. During his working years he worked for Spiller Spring, Old Wisconsin Sausage Co. and later owned J.D. Sausage Co. James was a longtime member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church where he served as Parish Council President from 1970 to 1986 making him the longest continuous running parish council president to date.

James is survived by his children, Nick (Deborah), Christ and Andrew (Debra); 1 brother; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 1 daughter.

Visitation will be held at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 1425 S. 10th St. Sheboygan, on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.

A memorial fund in his name has been established.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for their support and care.
