Stephen M. Seymour

Stephen M. Seymour, age 49 of Sheboygan passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by family. He was born April 24th 1965 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Donald and Suzanne (Sonntag) Seymour.

Steve attended Holy Name Parochial School and graduated from Sheboygan North in 1983. He went on to graduate from St. Norbert College and UW Madison with a law degree. Steve worked for Halverson Law Offices until 1999 when he opened his own law office, Seymour Attorney at Law.

Steve married Laurie Bain in De Pere, Wisconsin on September 4, 1993.

Steve was an avid sports fan. He spent many hours coaching his children's soccer, basketball and baseball teams. He played an active role in the Diamonds Organization and Sheboygan Legion Post 83 Summer Baseball Program. In all conversations with Steve, his pride in his children and their accomplishments/activities was evident.

Steve was an active and generous member of the Sheboygan community. He spent many years involved with the Rainbow Kids Program. Steve's willingness to share and assist family and friends with legal advice will always be remembered and appreciated. Family meant the world to Steve. Laurie, whom he enthusiastically looked forward to sharing his daily happenings with, was his true friend and partner.

Steve is survived by his wife, Laurie; four children, Andy, Sara, Brian and Zachary; parents Donald and Suzanne; siblings, Ann (Chuck) Reichwald, Beth (Keith) Foster, Mary (John) Pitsch and Paul (Adrianne) Seymour; nieces and nephews, Jenny, Teresa, Joey, Jamie, Rane and Sadie; great-niece and nephews, Madison, Ian and Wyatt, and numerous extended family members.

Steve is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Warren and Pearl Seymour (Marinette); maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Ann Sonntag (Sheboygan); step-grandma Margaret Sonntag; niece and goddaughter, Tabitha Reichwald, and a father-in-law Delmar Bain (De Pere).

A funeral service for Stephen will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at 6:00 P.M. at First United Lutheran Church, 2401 Kohler Memorial Drive, Sheboygan with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 6:00 P.M.. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Stephen's name. The Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reinboldfh.com
