Kenneth Yockey, age 73 of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away on Wednesday Evening (Nov. 9th) at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice after a lengthy battle with frontal temporal dementia and lymphoma.

He was born June 22, 1938, in Fond du Lac, a son of the late Donald Frank Yockey and Matilda Monica Breunig Yockey.

He graduated from St. Mary's Spring High School in Fond du Lac, WI, and then went on to attend Devrey Institute and Lakeshore Technical College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Materials Management.

On July 9, 1966 he married Mary Laughlin at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. The couple resided in Fond du Lac after their marriage before moving to Sheboygan in 1972.

Kenneth worked in the storeroom and in housekeeping for both St. Nicholas Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital for 25+ years, retiring in 2003 when he became ill.

He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan and was active in Busy Beavers 4-H club and the 4-H Leader's Association, the Knights of Columbus, St. Dominic's Ushers Association, Denmark's Widowers Group, going on bank trips and he enjoyed woodworking and camping.

His wife preceded him in death on January 22, 1997.

Kenneth is survived by: Two Sons: David P. (Becky) Yockey of Greenleaf, WI and Donald T. Yockey (significant other: Jennifer Nutter) of Pittsburgh, PA; Two Daughters: Kathryn M. Yockey of Sheboygan, WI and Karen M. (Ron) Konrad of Sheboygan Falls, WI; Four Sisters: Bette (Edward) Arnold of Fond du Lac, WI, Marylee (Terry) Pergande of Fond du Lac, WI, Cathy O'Loughlin (Husband: Jim Meisinger) of Fond du Lac, WI and Sue Yockey (Partner: Joanne Desky) of Oregon; Ten Grandchildren: Felicity Nelson Yockey, Deziree Rebarchek, Corey and Valerie Springstube, Elenah and Ryker Yockey, Ashley, Tiffany, Joshua and Mary Konrad.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death, by his wife: Mary; one son: Kevin J. Yockey; one niece: Kate O'Loughlin; one sister-in-law: Kathleen Parris; and two brothers-in-laws: Barry Wirt and Dan O'Loughlin.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday (Nov. 18th) at 10:30A.M. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Father Al Veik, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan.

Friends and family may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth, on Thursday, (Nov. 17th) from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and at the CHURCH on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Kenneth's name.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Libby's House in Plymouth and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls as well as Dr. Michael Johnson and his associates at the Medical Arts Clinic who helped care for Ken over the past several years. A special thank you to Dr Tracy Sherman who helped shed light on Ken's dementia and Dr. Mark Bettag who treated the Lymphoma for several years.
