Celeste Schmidt Obituary
Celeste V. Schmidt, age 90, formerly of N7299 Birchtree Rd, Plymouth (Crystal Lake), passed away early Sunday morning (Nov. 18) at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, WI.
Celeste was born on September 15, 1922 in West Bend, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Knoeck) Babler.
She was a graduate of Campbellsport High School and Fond du Lac Commercial College.
On April 20, 1945 she was united in marriage to Earl A. Schmidt. The couple resided in lived in Plymouth and since 1985 at Crystal Lake.
Celeste was employed as an assistant sales manager at the Arps Corp. in New Holstein during World War II. After marriage, she was the office manager for her husband's businesses, Earl Schmidt Construction, Inc. and Cedar View Mobile Home Park. Her husband preceded her in death on July 25, 2003.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and also belonged to the Red Hatters Club in Elkhart Lake.
Celeste enjoyed spending time at Naples, Florida in the winter, reading, playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors Include: Two Daughters: Bonnie (Jim) Rohde of Madison and Cindy (John) Hand of Plymouth; Four Grandchildren: Jason Rohde of Madison, Ryan Rohde (Girlfriend: Bonnie Reynolds) of Madison, Melissa (Jon) Heyn of Plymouth and Jenna (Jason) Buechel of Fond du Lac; Two Great Grand Sons: Jack Heyn and Avery Buechel; One Sister: Geraldine (Herman) Wondra of Campbellsport; One Brother: Jack (Rita) Babler of Campbellsport; One Brother-In-Law: Warren (Nancy) Schmidt of Plymouth
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister and brother-in-law: Dolores (Mike) Fleischman.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday Morning (Nov. 24) at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday Morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Celeste's name.

Dear Bonnie & Cindy,
Please accept my sympathies regarding the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of spending time with all of you on my dad's side of the family at Crystal Lake. I think the thing that I remember about your mom was that she always looked perfect. I would have described her she as a very "classy" lady.
