Mandy Uremovich Wedge

Mandy Uremovich Wedge, age 96, of Kiel, died after a brief illness on November 26, 2012 at Willowdale Nursing & Rehab Center, New Holstein.

She was born on May 8, 1916 in Virginia, MN, daughter of the late Stephen & Helen (Pocrinich) Uremovich.

Mandy attended Newport School in Ironwood, MI.

On August 21, 1937 she married John "Jack" Pearce Wedge in Crown Point, IN.

The couple lived in Iron River, MI, Detroit, MI and Royal Oak, MI where they raised their four children before moving to Kiel.

Mandy was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

She enjoyed taking walks, crocheting, knitting, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children: Geraldine Huotari, Kiel, James (Carole) Wedge, Kiel, Leah (Mark) Herrling, Fennimore and six grandchildren; Christopher (Heidi) Wedge, Carole (Allan Schubert) Magtanong, Joanne (David) Enders, Russell (Megan) Wedge, Samuel (Kelly) Wedge and Zachary (Tria) Wedge. She is further survived by 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister-in-law, Ida Kolak, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parnets, her husband, John "Jack", son, William "Bill" and her siblings, Joseph Uremovich, Mary Semenak, Kathryn Vronch, Ann Cardini, John Kolak, Helen Thorin, Olga Vronch and George Kolak.

The funeral Mass and celebration of Mandy's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating.

Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.

Mandy's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Willowdale Nursing & Rehab Center's staff for the wonderful care she received and also to Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S., Pastor Fred Coleman and Deacon Pat Knier for their prayers and visits.
