Ralph H. Reinbacher, age 84, of Sheboygan, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness. He was born December 2, 1928 in Sheboygan to the late Emil and Louise (Laechler) Reinbacher. Ralph graduated from Sheboygan Central High School and went on to serve in the US Army until he was honorably discharged in 1957. He then continued his education by earning an Associates Degree from Lakeland College. For the majority of his working years, Ralph was employed by the Kohler Company in the generator and engine divisions until his retirement in 1991.
Ralph enjoyed his church. He was a longtime member of the Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church. Over the years, Ralph traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as a trip to Europe taking in countless sights along the way. Ralph also had a love of car racing. He attended many Indianapolis 500 and Road America races throughout the years.
Survivors include his daughters Renee (Kal) Keitel of IL and Linda (Michael) Davis of MN; eleven grandchildren Greg (Jill) Keitel, Amy (Andy) Wetzel, Tim Keitel, Stacey (Tyler) Hagerstrom, Jeff Keitel, Kelly Keitel, Zach Keitel, Luke Reinbacher, Elyse Reinbacher, Alex Davis and Elle Davis, and two great grand-children Abigail Keitel and Lucas Keitel. He is further survived by his daughter-in-law Ann Reinbacher, former wife Elsie Reinbacher, sister-in-law Jeannette (Kurt) Reinbacher, numerous cousins, and several caring neighbors.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his son Steve Reinbacher, his brother Kurt Reinbacher, his sister Lore Tague and brother-in-law Karl Tague.
Family and friends may call at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Monday December 10, 2012 from 10-11 A.M. Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Gary A. Hylander, pastor of the Evangelical Free Church, officiating. Entombment to follow in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum with full military honors being accorded by VFW Post #9156.
