Nora Clemens, age 89, formerly of 430 N. Highland Avenue, Plymouth, WI, passed away Early Sunday Evening (Dec. 9) at Arbor View Care Center in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years.
Nora was born on May 28, 1923 in Sandbach, England, a daughter of the late Alec and Millicent Peers Pass.
She attended Sandbach Senior School.
Nora worked as a shop assistant in England for many years.
On June 9, 1945, she married Lester J. Clemens in Elworth, England. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage.
She worked for Ley's Department Store in Plymouth for 22 years and for 16 years at the Arndt Golf Course in Plymouth.
Her husband preceded her in death on March 5, 1986.
Nora was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth and a member of the Chancel Choir and will be remembered for singing many duets and solos at the church. She was a present member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Greenbush.
Nora was a member of the Plymouth Civic Chorus, the Kraft Chorus Society and she sang for the opening of the Eagles Club in Plymouth.
Her hobbies included knitting, gardening, golfing, letter writing and poetry.
Survivors include Two daughters: Carol (Roger) Bergin of Plymouth and Doreen (Terry) Huberty of Plymouth; Three grandchildren: Debra Struve of Beaver Dam, WI , Brian (Kathy) Schmidt of Elkhart Lake and Matthew Huberty of Plymouth; Four great-grandchildren: Dylan and Trent Struve of Plymouth and Dakota and Grace Schmidt of Elkhart Lake; Two step-grandchildren: Madeline and Daniel Schneider of Elkhart Lake; Three sisters-in-law: Adeline Gahagan of Sheboygan Falls, Sylvia Pass of England and Dorothy Bratt of England.
Also survived by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her step father, William Davies and two brothers, Dennis and Frank Pass.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Evening (Dec.14) at 6:00 PM at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Henry Verfuerth, pastor of New Hope Methodist Church in Greenbush will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Plymouth.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
A memorial fund is being established in Nora's name for New Hope United Methodist Church or the Spina Bifida Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.
