Helen Gierszewski, age 76, of Random Lake, WI, passed away to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday (Feb.26) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born on February 23, 1937 in Stevens Point, WI, a daughter of the late Leo and Emma Bronk Klesmith.

She was raised on a farm with five brothers and five sisters in Plover, WI.

Helen graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1955. She continued on at Western Wisconsin Technical College earning her nursing assistance degree.

She met her best friend and love of her life Myron Gierszewski. They married on July 30th 1960.

Myron and Helen raised their two sons Jeff and Kevin in Viola, Wisconsin where Myron was principal and Helen worked at Vernon Memorial Hospital in the OB/GYN for 12 years. She also a member of Kickapoo Clown Club.

Later they settled in Random Lake, WI, where Helen worked for Bemis Company in Sheboygan Falls retiring in 2000.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Besides making the best Angel Food cake in the world Helen was known to be quite competitive in bowling and golf. It was not uncommon for her to bowl 3 games in the morning and play a round of golf in the afternoon. She enjoyed listening to her husband play the concertina, dancing to polka music and shopping. Helen took great pleasure making many crafts. Her attention to detail can be seen on her beautifully crocheted and beaded Christmas ornaments. She also knitted and could tad.

Survivors include: her loving husband: Myron of Random Lake, WI; Two sons: Jeff (Rebecca) Gierszewski of LaCrosse, WI and Kevin (Karen) Gierszewski of Sparta, WI; Three grandchildren: Benjamin, Maxwel and Ivy Gierszewski of LaCrosse, WI; Sisters and brothers: Henrietta Balazo of Cudahy, WI, Mary Ziolkowoski of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Carl (Alfreda) Klesmith of Mequon, WI, Wanda (Alvin) Gierszewski of New Berlin, WI, Edwin (Vicki) Klesmith of Racine, WI, Stanley (Lucy) Klesmith of Stevens Point, WI and Hubert (Karen) Klesmith of Custer, WI; One aunt: Lillian Cychosz of Milwaukee, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Delores Gilmeister and Dorothy Peplinski; two brother-in-laws: Joseph Balazo and Sylvester Ziolkowski and childhood brother: Jerry Klesmith.

Prayer services will be held on Sunday afternoon (March 3) at 3:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Helen's name.
