Korlesky, Ervin R.

Ervin R. Korlesky, age 86, of 4228 Kadlec Drive, Sheboygan, died Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2013 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 11, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Ray and Lilly (Musil) Korlesky. Ervin was a Veteran of the United States Army serving overseas in Germany. On August 7, 1948 he married the former Eunice A. Wellner at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on April 7, 2013. Ervin was employed for 40 years at Eck Industries, retiring in 1989. He was a member and past officer of Molders Local 301 and Manitowoc Central Labor Council. Ervin was also a member of St. Dominic Parish of Sheboygan and the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Ed Korlesky and his wife Marian Menn, Marshfield; a daughter and son-in-law: Edie & Ted Morrison, Sheboygan; five grandchildren: Nathan, Colin, Sheryl, Wendy & Jennifer; and a sister-in-law: Florence Wellner, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Alice Seibold and her husband Lloyd; and a brother-in-law: Paul.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, (North 14th and Waldo Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Phil Reifenberg. Entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 until 10:45 a.m.

Ervin and his wife loved to square dance and they traveled to all the continental United States. He had a childhood passion for farming and enjoyed gardening and antique cars.
