Raymond H. Boesel, age 75, of Glenbeulah, passed away on early Monday Evening (July 1, 2013) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where he had been a resident for the past 1 1/2 years.
Raymond was born on September 25, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late Harold and Mabel Steinhilber Boesel.
He attended Rathburn Grade School and Plymouth High School.
He served with the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.
Raymond was employed at Borden Company in Plymouth for forty-four years, retiring in May of 2001.
He was a member St John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Raymond was an accomplished cribbage player and belonged to the American Cribbage Congress. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #71 in North Augusta, SC.
Survivors include: His special niece: Lori (Randy) Schmitt of Plymouth. one brother: Bill (Bonnie) Boesel of Glenbeulah, three sisters: Violet Feldmann of Plymouth, Norma (Norman) Walker of Augusta, S.C., Kathy Mathes of Plymouth. Nephews and nieces: Dan (Alice) Feldmann of Plymouth, Brett Boesel of Plymouth, Scott (Lori) Boesel of Wausau, Terri Boesel of Milwaukee, Leah (Mike) Maloff of Wauwatosa, Bill (Tracy) Walker of TN, Robert (Michelle) Walker of Madison, Jamie (Tammy) Mathes of Plymouth, Joe Mathes of Plymouth, Jody (Tom) Runningen of Cascade. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, (July 5th) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate. Burial will take place in the Greenbush Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday from 4:00P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Raymond's name.
The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post # 5612 will conduct Military Rites at the funeral home following the services on Friday evening.
