Virginia Grunow, 87, of 1342 Lenz Ct., passed away Wednesday evening, July 24, 2013 at her home.
Born May 12, 1926, in Sheboygan, Virginia was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Biederwolf Schultz. On June 17, 1950, she was united in marriage to Karl C. Grunow at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. They were married for 56 years before Karl preceded her in death on September 22, 2006.
Virginia worked at Nemschoff Chair for 24 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
She is survived by her four children, Christine (Dave Repinski) Methfessel, Hancock, WI, Thomas Grunow, Sheboygan, Susan (Todd) Klein, Manitowoc, WI, and Donna Grunow, Sheboygan; grandchildren, Jessica (Paul) Nyhuis, Cory (Amanda) Methfessel, Melissa Grunow, Tyler (fiancé Angela) Peloquin, Alanna Etzel, Rose Grunow, Tammy Schroeder, David, Doug and Dale Repinski, and Heather Klein; eight great grandchildren; her sister, Beatrice (August) Stiefvater, Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Karl, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon; a daughter Diane, a grandson, Hunter Peloquin; and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Matthew J. Widder, pastor of Holy Name Catholic Church, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Virginia's arrangements.
