Obituary Condolences

McHenry, Thomas James

Thomas J. McHenry lost his battle with cancer on December 27th. Tom was born at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, to James W. and Elsie M.A. McHenry on March 16, 1943.

Tom graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1961 and from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa. After graduation, he was drafted by the United States Army and was sent to Vietnam. After discharge from the army, Tom held several jobs before being hired by Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement in 1999.

Tom had a lot of friends in Sheboygan who called him "Mac"…many were bartenders and people who frequented the bars. He was a big time gambler and a fantasy sports coach.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie McHenry in 1968; his father, James McHenry is 1977; and his aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Fred Nehring.

Tom is survived by his brother, Richard (Dick) McHenry (Barbara), niece, Alison Tully (Robert), great-niece (Britton), nephew, James McHenry, all who reside in Tallahassee, FL.

Tom will be cremated and no formal services are planned.

A priest was able to bless Tom in the hospital, so he will eventually go to heaven…Good Luck "Mac"!

The family would like to thank all of Tom's good friends for their support during this difficult time.
