Bochte, Emma

Emma (Modra) Bochte, 92, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 7, 2014. Emma was born to the late Emma and Anton Modra on January 28, 1921 in Two Rivers WI.

Emma graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School and went on to attend Modern Beauty College in Milwaukee. She owned the Lady Faire Beauty Salon in Manitowoc during the 1950's.

Emma married Joseph Bochte in 1960. He was the love of her life. His first words to her were "stick with me and we'll go places"; and they did. They traveled to England, Europe and various US locations. She loved going to Harry's Diner. A special thanks to Harry and staff for always making her feel so special.

Emma was preceded in death by her brothers, Milton, Alvin and Raymond Modra. She is survived by her children, Lee Ann (Robert) Van Der Sande of Sheboygan Falls; and Rodale (Nancy) Bochte of Hiles; nephews, David (Betty) Modra and Terry (Martha) Bochte, two step-children and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at the Salvation Army Chapel, 710 Pennsylvania Ave., Sheboygan
