Miller, James D.
James D Miller, 57, of McHenry passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Miller was born January 31, 1957, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, son of Jerome W. and Jeanette M. (Frank) Miller. He attended Kohler High School, Northwestern University, where he played football, and Northern Illinois University. On July 18, 2006, he married Victoria K. Friesl at Shepherd of the Hills Church in McHenry.
Mr. Miller was a physical education teacher department head and football, track, and wrestling coach at Cary Grove High School. He enjoyed golf, riding Harleys, bowling, exercising, skiing, gardening, yoga, riding bikes, and cooking. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with all of his family and friends.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Vicki, a son, Andrew Miller; stepchildren, Gage, Chase, and Lexi Miller; granddaughter, Adalie Miller; and his mother, Jeanette M. Miller. Also surviving are two brothers, David (Kathy) Miller of Cascade, Wisconsin; and Bill (Cheryl) Miller of Corona, California.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome, his first wife, Daryl, and a brother, Daniel.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. There will be a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Windridge Cemetery in Cary.
