Perl Sr., Robert (1936-2014)
Robert Perl Sr., age 78 of Plymouth, WI died on Sunday (Dec. 21, 2014) at home, surrounded by loved ones following a long battle with cancer.
He was born on May 16, 1936 in Sheboygan, WI a son of the late Arthur and Stella (Kazawitch) Perl.
On August 7, 1965, Robert was united in marriage to the late Charlotte Herrmann at Luther Memorial Church in Sheboygan.
He worked for Kaltenbrun Roofing before starting his own company, Bob Perl Roofing, in the early 70's until he retired in 1986.
Robert was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in Plymouth.
He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, cutting wood and listening to the Brewer games by the fire. Bob also loved going to bingo, playing cards, hunting, fishing and the Green Bay Packers. A great joy of his was attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include his four sons: David (Chari) Perl of Plymouth, Terry (Denise) Perl of Sheboygan, Robert Jr. (Stephanie) Perl of Sheboygan and James Perl of Sheboygan; five grandchildren: Catie Perl, Courtney (Jordan) Rick, Chrissy Perl, Robert Perl III and Victoria Perl; two sisters: Delores (Ralph) Karstaedt of Kiel and Marlene Voechting of Sheboygan; one brother: Raymond (Sue) Perl of Jacksonville, FL; one sister-in-law: Mary Perl of Sheboygan and three brothers-in-law: Eugene Schrimpf of Sheboygan, Ed Otto of Waukesha and Ray Surrarrer of Cedarburg.
Also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Charlotte; three sisters: Nancy Surrarrer, Joanne Otto and Emma Schrimpf and two brothers Jerome and Richard Perl.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (Dec. 26th) at 12:00 Noon at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held at CHURCH on Friday (Dec. 26th) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran church and Project Angel Hugs.
