What a great loss. To this day I consider him "Coach." My entire family enjoyed him as a wonderful human being. My Dad and Mom always were grateful for his friendship. Coach accomplished so many wonderful things; he started the wrestling program from scratch as well as many of the Industrial Arts classes.

My son was in school when Jerry was teaching. He never had had Mr. Robers as a teacher, but said the students who did spoke very highly of him. (My son was Erik Rasmuson ). I feel terrible about this untimely death. Gloria Rasmuson Shird.

So sorry for your loss. I had coach as a freshman in drafting and electricity. He was born to teach. Whether it was teaching school or wrestling and later about small engines and lawnmowers , Coach loved teaching. Great guy. I bought my rider from him and he constantly helped my Father out with parts and service to which I am grateful. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Mary, Jen and Josh;
The sad and shocking news has not set in. Life cut too short, but in God's wisdom, HIS timing, HIS will and HIS comfort, will bring you HIS peace. Memories of the E Wing abound...those were good years.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Jerry was an inspiring teacher and a genuine mentor throughout my highs school years. I was privileged to observe a man who was sincerely concerned for each student under his car. I was a direct recipient of the encouraging words and the insightful life lessons he shared with his kids on a daily basis. He had a profound impact on my life and others I've known. Romans 8:28

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Jerry was a teacher of my husbands and a friend to both of us. He seemed to remember each and everyone of his former students and was always quick to share conversation. I never had Jerry as a teacher but I passed by every time I went to Ag. class with Mr. G and Jerry always said hello whether you were one of "his" students or not. It was years later that I found out he was a neighbor and him with his lawnmower and snowblowers we eventually purchased items from him. Again always willing to take a few minutes to chat. My husband and I will miss him greatly and we hope that God grants his family peace in this very difficult time.

The Robers Family,
If the hallmarks of a good and decent man are measured by the imprint of his legacy on others, then please take comfort in knowing Jerry accomplished that, and much more. It made little difference to him if he was coaching 7th graders basic wrestling techniques or dealing with you over a part for an outdoor machine. Jerry was a GOOD man in everything he did with others. He is remembered and will certainly be missed by those he touched. My sincerest and deepest sympathies.

My sincere condolences to the Robers Family. As a wrestling cheerleader in high school, I was fortunate to interact with Mr. Robers during those long wrestling seasons and hopping the bus to all those tourneys. He was always so kind to the cheerleaders and appreciated how we supported the team. I especially remember how much fun he had with my classmates, Todd Arnoldi, Dirk Huibregtse Dave Christensen, and Todd Mielke. Mr. Robers was such a devoted coach and teacher who provided so much encouragement and drive, thus instilling confidence and success. I never saw him again after graduation...but one always remembers those teachers and coaches who were good to them. Rest in Peace Mr. Robers.

A coach and teacher that put the kids first. He was, and will be remembered as, Sheboygan Falls Wrestling for many years. "Where's my water bottle? Give me that damn water bottle". At Roncali 1982 Many great and funny memories of our coach.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of Jerry. In 1966 I was a freshman in high school, that's also when Jerry stated teaching Tech Ed classes. I found shop classes to interesting and a lot of fun and after four years of classes Jerry helped me get started in a career as a Machinist. It wasn't long and I switched careers, this time as a teacher. As I look back it, Jerry was the one that lit the fire in me to do something with my life, just as he had done with so many others. Thanks Jerry, I'll miss you, and thanks for the fishing trips to Red Lake that we shared together.
