I met David in 1976 when we both worked at the camp in Elkhart Lake. He spent much of his spare time practicing "My Sweet Lady" on guitar. He invited me for a brief visit to his country home, where the crickets kept me up all night and the stars were so bright I swear they cast shadows. I now have country homes on two continents, but to this day I have never seen a dark sky to beat the one he shared with me in Spring Valley. Thanks, Hicky!

While at KHS '76, Dave and I never got to know each other until we both became Lakeland College students. I then began to appreciate his wit, laugh and genuine compassion for humanity.
If I ever found the "love of my life" I asked is he would marry "us" and he said he would. I visit his grave often and still ask him that question. I "think" we were in LC theater together as well.
His brilliant mind and our deep conversations still fascinate me. He was truly my "brethren" in soul and heart. I miss him every KHS and LC class reunion that he's not there. I grieve with you for his death.

Heidi, My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the SAD loss of your brother. It's really sad that he did Did not get to fulfill the future that he saw for his life. He would have done a great job! You and I were together in nursing school. We are now members of St. Mark's and have met your brother and heard him preach. My husband and Dave shared the same condition in their hands! again, my deepest sympathy...

Deepest Sympathies for Dave's family. We were friends many years ago in Manitowoc. We were in community theater together and he sang at my wedding a song that he wrote. God has called a special one back home to Him.
