SHELBY - Gladys Stone, 87, Shelby, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living.
Mrs. Stone was born on November 6, 1926, to the late Glenn Nichols and Nina Reynolds Nichols. She was retired from Costner Furniture and was a Christian that had a devout faith in a loving God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glen Edward Stone.
She is survived by three brothers, A.J. Nichols, Marshall Nichols and wife Chris, Dennis Nichols and wife Karen; eight sisters, Marie Combs, Irene Cleary, Evelyn Caudle and husband Charles, Esther Godwin, Jean Jones, Bonnie
Misco and husband Thurman, Wanda Nichols and Nancy Pollard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral on Monday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, NC.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Harlan Hamilton and Mr. Carl Nelson officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton, WV. A final viewing will be held at Memorial Funeral Directory, Princeton WV form 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
