Heaven will surely be gaining a Jewel. Papa Barnes was always so very special. I worked at Beginning while he volunteered through the Foster Grandparent Program. He Loved all the children so very much. I always looked foward to seeing his smile each morning as he entered the building. He never ever seemed down, and always said each day that he was blessed. I will never forget him!!! My prayers will be with the entire family for I know you will miss seeing him here on earth!! sheila Bowman / Beginnings

I was just talking about Papa Barnes with my 15 year old yesterday. He was a volunteer with the Foster Grandparent Program and was volunteering at Beginnings Daycare for children with disabilities. My daughter attended there and loved Papa Barnes! He would sit her on his lap and read to her and she loved him so much. Her first spoken word was "Papa". I am so sad to hear this news. From our family to yours, we send our thoughts and prayers. We are thankful that he was a part of our lives.
