CHERRYVILLE- Oveda H. Chapman, 93, passed away at Carolina Care Center on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Byers and Ada Hallman Mayhue.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Mr. Herman Hoopaugh and Mr. Eddie McCoy Chapman; one brother Ben Mayhue; and four sisters, Ann Cato, Helen Foster, Robby Lancaster, Hattie Mayhue and Aileen White.
Surviving is one son, Randy Hoopaugh of Earl; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche McCurry of Shelby; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church, Earl
Officiating: The Rev. Russ Bradley
Funeral Home: Robert S. Morgan, Jr. Funeral Services Licensee, LLC is serving the family.
