SHELBY- Viola Elizabeth Philbeck, 83, of 623 Live Oak St., Shelby, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2014.
Mrs. Philbeck was born on May 14, 1930, in Cleveland County. She was a homemaker and a former textile worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick Smith Philbeck and Molly Kate Melton Philbeck, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Philbeck and Vickie of Shelby, and Joey Philbeck and Dayna of Earl; daughters, Karen Philbeck and Linda Emery, both of Shelby; grandchildren, Christina Anthony, Jeremy Philbeck, Heather Philbeck, Amy Causby, Patrick Philbeck, Ashley Lewis and Haley Yount; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Cleveland Funeral Service & Crematory.
The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Randy Heffner will officiate.
Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory is serving the family.

She was a very sweet woman. Loved her family and would do anything for them. She will be greatly missed!!!
