SHELBY-Mr. Leonard Charles Lipscomb, 63, of 428 Carolina Avenue, Shelby, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 24, 2012, at Hospice of Wendover. Charles was born on July 9, 1949, to the late Millicent Lipscomb Lewis.
Charles is survived by his three sons, Marik "Dube" Lipscomb and Aric Tiki Lipscomb, both of Shelby, and Khalid Lipscomb of Charlotte; one devoted sister, Nadine Lipscomb of Shelby; one niece, Anissa "Angel" Surratt and husband Cedric of Charlotte; and one god brother, Johnny Brooks Jr.
"Paw Paw" Charles also leaves to cherish his memories nine grandchildren, TreShawn Archie, Jalen Lipscomb, Diamond Lipscomb, Ah'ric Lipscomb, Janiya Laborn, Sanai Lipscomb, Justin Lipscomb, Ky'ric Lipscomb, Camille Lipscomb; two great grandchildren, Ke'miyah and Mahila Archie, all of Shelby; one great nephew, Amahri Surratt of Charlotte; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church
