AILEEN WARE COSTNER KINGS MOUNTAIN- Aileen Ware Costner, age 87, resident of 117 Beta Place, Kings Mountain, N.C., died April 28, 2015, at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, N.C., to the late James William "Ben" Ware and Sally Carroll Ware. She was also preceded in death by her husband; James William Costner, brother; Bill Ware and sister; Leler Owensby. Mrs. Costner was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, N.C., and retired from Kings Mountain Knit and Fabric. She was a homemaker, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed being a caregiver, cooking, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by her son, Kenneth E. Costner, Sr. and wife Martha, Kings Mountain, NC; daughters, Patricia "Pat" C. Mathis, Kings Mountain, NC, Linda Conner, Kings Mountain, NC; brother, James Hershel Ware, Kings Mountain, NC; sisters, Sue Belk, Hazel Reynolds, and Estelle Sanders, all of Kings Mountain, NC; 7 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Harris Funeral home and other times at the home, 117 Beta Place, Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Joel Sanders officiating. CHERRYVILLE - Tonda Lynn Pruett Dellinger, 53, of Harrilson Road, died April 27, 2015, at CMC Main. She was born Jan. 19, 1962, in Cleveland County, daughter of Shirley Pruett Morgan of Shelby and the late Grover "Bud" Ray Pruett. Tonda was employed by Gaston County Schools Transportation, Data Entry Department. She was a member Second Baptist Church where she was a nursery worker and active with Bible school and she loved riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and adored her granddaughter. Survivors, in addition to her mother include her husband of 35 years, Robert Donald "Donnie" Dellinger of the home, a daughter, Annie Dellinger and Fiancée Heath Walker of Cherryville, a grand-daughter, Shyanne Dellinger, a brother, Kenneth Pruett (Sue), of Stanley, sisters, Teena Pruett Sigmon (Ricky) of Cherryville, Teela Pruett Allen (Scott) of Cherryville, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will be after the service in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 202 N. Houser Street, Cherryville, NC, 29021. DOTTIE DICKSON SHELBY – Dorothy "Dottie" Isley Dickson, 78, died Saturday May 2, 2015, at Carolinas Rehab Center in Charlotte. Born in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Boston and Nancy Louise Worthy Isley. Dottie was a long active member of the local theatre. She taught at Cleveland Community College for a number of years in the Humanities Department. She loved to listen and compose music. Dottie enjoyed the arts and witty conversation. Dottie is survived by two sons, Scott Dickson of Boiling Springs and Patrick Dickson and wife Jennifer of Shelby. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015, at her home, 604 Hanover Drive, Shelby.
