SHELBY - Andrew Ross, 69, of 515 Dover Street Apartment 8, departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Marvin Buck Ross and Ella Belle Hopper Ross.
Andrew was formerly employed with Bost Bakery and the City of Shelby. He was a very caring person who enjoyed making people laugh. Never one to complain, he always had a smile. In addition, he loved his family and always enjoyed talking about them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Ross, Bobby Ross, Wade Ross, L.D. Ross and June Ross; and also two sisters, Inez Williams and Rose Leak.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Andrea Ruff (Harrill) of Shelby and Ronald Strong (Sandra) of Boiling Springs; one brother, Luther Ross (Marie) of Charlotte; two sisters, Jessie Littlejohn and Minnie Procter, both of Shelby; five grandchildren, Harrill Ruff, Jr., Renee Ruff and Travis, and Brandon and Destiny Strong; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Ross of Boiling Springs and Maxine Ross of Providence R.I. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the chapel, and at other times at the home of his sister, Jessie Littlejohn 603 Waylen Drive, Shelby.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel
