Anous Jackson

SHELBY-Mrs. Anous Baker Jackson, 93, of Shelby, passed away on Jan. 7, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Burdett Sid Baker and Julia Etta Styles Baker. She was retired from Lily Mills where she was a winder operator. She was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing bingo, card games and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jackson; a son, Sidney Leon Jackson; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by a son, Rhoney Jackson and wife Darla of Chatsworth, Ga.; a daughter, Revonda Booth and husband Louis of Shelby; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Lily Memorial Baptist Church
