UNION MILLS-- Bessie Ree Harmon Davis, 83, of Coney Island Road, died on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on July 29, 1930, a daughter of the late Hammie Wade and Emma Parris Harmon. She was a retired Nurse and member of State Line Baptist Church of Gaffney.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dean Davis; one daughter, Sherry Hatcher; one brother, Bud Harmon; one sister, Jeraldine Phillips; and one grandson, David Crotts.
She is survived by her son, Michael L. Davis and wife Christine of Largo, Fla.; one daughter, Sallie Conner and husband Michael of Union Mills; one brother, Wilson Harmon and wife Dorothy of Winston Salem; one sister, Rachel Phillips; her grandchildren, Shane Cline, Jeff Cline, Zoey Davis, Michelle Crotts, Dillon Conner, J.P. Conner, Codey Hatcher and Jesse Hatcher; and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service, and at other times at the home of Rachel Phillips, Winn Road, Mooresboro.
Funeral Service: 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel

Burial: Noon Monday at The Western North Carolina Veteran's Cemetery of Black Mountain.
