Betty Crosby

SHELBY - Mrs. Betty Gean Ford Crosby, 78, of 2718 Camp School Road, Shelby, widow of Mr. Calip Frank Crosby, passed on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Daughter of the late Jim Ford and the late Irene Dawkins Ford, she was a native of Cherokee County, South Carolina. She was a member of Youngs Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of No. 3 School in Shelby.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Annie Wray (Wayne) of Shelby, Mrs. Janie Crosby Young (Odell) of Blacksburg, SC, Mrs. Shirley Crosby Littlejohn (Mike) of Gaffney, SC, and Mrs. Sherrie Crosby McCluney (Jason) of Shelby; three sons, Frank Crosby (Shirley) of Shelby, Shedrick Crosby of Kings Mountain, and Calip Crosby of Grover; her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell of Shelby; her brother, Leonard Ford of Shelby; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the residence, 2718 Camp School Road, Shelby
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Youngs Grove Baptist Church. She will lie instate at 1 p.m. until the service
