Betty Dover

CRAWFORDVILLE, FLA. - Betty Martin Dover, 73, formerly of Shelby, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at St. James Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrabelle, Fla. Born in Cleveland County on Oct. 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late O.D. and Linnie Mae Smith Martin.
Betty worked for Fiber Industries and attended Faith Baptist Church when she lived in Shelby. Betty enjoyed the beach and spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Dover; and three brothers, Howard Martin, James Martin, and Charles Martin
Betty is survived by three sons, Don Dover and wife Sue of Hickory, Kim Dover and girlfriend Tonda Putnam of Shelby, and Tim Dover and wife Brenda of Shelby; a daughter, Tracy Peavy and husband Delacy of Crawfordville, Fla.; five sisters, Loretta Ivey, Gale Edmunds, Fay Williams, Kay Hamrick, and Barbara Harris; and three brothers, Pete Martin, Harry Martin, and Dale Martin; seven grandchildren, Tiffani Lawter, Alyson Dover, Aaron Dover, Alex Dover, Elliott Peavy, Brandon Peavy, and Katlyn Dover; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Lawter and Addison Dover
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church
Officiated by: Dr. Barry Goodman
Burial: Will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
