Bill Irvin

SHELBY- William "Bill" Dixon Irvin, 76, of 603 Poplar Drive in Shelby, died April 30, 2013, in Brevard.
Born Aug. 20, 1936, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Obie Irvin and Edna Minnie Bell Styles. He was a retired fixer for Dover Mill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Barnett Irvin; a stepson, Billy Carter; and a step-granddaughter, Brandy Finley.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Wall of Shelby, Carolyn and Chris Smith of Elberton, Diane Jones of Shelby; step daughter, Susan and Scott Lovelace of Shelby; sister, Janice Shaw and husband Hugh of Maryland; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Burial: Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby
