Cecil Maurice ""Reece"" Carver

SHELBY - Cecil Maurice Carver, 55, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at his home.
Born on August 6, 1957 in Gaston County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Judy Bazzle Carver. He served in the U.S. Army, loved church and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Carver worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Shelby for the past six years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Evon Walker.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters who love him and will miss him very much. Brothers, Don Carver, and Blair Carver and wife, Cindy, all of Kings Mountain; sisters, Florence Williams and husband, Ned, of Clover, S.C., Judy Bingham of Gastonia, and Cathy Carver of Shelby; a daughter, Suzie Carver; three step-children, Clair Parham, Howard Parham and Lewis Parham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service: Tuesday, 2 p.m., Gaston Memorial Park with military honors.
Officiating: Pastor Forest Hennessey.
Funeral home: Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mr. Carver.
