Frances "Frankie" Morehead

SHELBY – Mrs. Frances "Frankie" Morehead, 77, of Canterbury Rd., died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Agnes Thompson Terry.
She was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a children's Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at schools, camping with her husband and crocheting. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Pete" Morehead Sr.; brother, Everett Terry; and sister, Rachel Plotast.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Ruppe and husband, Ronnie, of Shelby; three sons, Butch Morehead and wife, Jill, of Shelby, Rev. Buddy Morehead and wife, Meredith, of Mooresboro, Mickey Morehead and wife, Betty, of Shelby; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her pet and best friend, Lucy; and special friends, Mike and Dianne Loveday of Shelby.
Funeral service: Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
Visitation: The family will receive friend Monday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Clergy: Revs. Buddy Morehead and Jared Pankhurst
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
