Franklin Glenn

SHELBY- Franklin "Frankie" Lee Glenn, 54, of Charles Road Apartments passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at his residence.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 11, 1959, he was a son of the late Franklin Hoover "F.H." Glenn and Elizabeth Ann Hubbard Glenn of Shelby.
Frankie was a member of Polkville Baptist Church, a former employee of the NC Department of Transportation, and served in the Marine Corps for three years.
In addition to his mother, Frankie is survived by his brothers, John Glenn of Casar and David Glenn of Shelby; sisters, Carolyn McNeilly of Shelby, Mary Bridges of Charlotte, and Patricia Ross of Shelby; a number of nieces and nephews; and friends and family at Adventure House.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.
At other times the family will be at the home of Elizabeth Glenn, 2004 W. Stagecoach Trail, Shelby, NC 28150.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Hamrick officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
