Fred David Willis

SHELBY- Fred David Willis passed away Feb. 11, 2014, at the age of 94.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Fannie Prichard Willis. He retired from the restaurant business, was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and served in the US Army during World War II and Korea.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Lattimore Willis; special sister, Faye Wilson; son-in-law, Billy Samuel Wolfe; and a host of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one daughter, Deloria (Dee) Willis Leigh and husband Sam; three granddaughters, Kelly Pulley and husband Mike, Nikki Warlick and husband Jeff, and Billi Tilly and husband Kirk; great-grandchildren, Sam, Garrison and Olivia Pulley, Hannah and Billy Warlick, and Sophie and Chloe Tilly; special nieces and nephew, Ray Wilson, Betty Grant, Annice and Glenn Allen; and special pet, Miss Kitty.
At the request of Mr. Willis, no services will be held.
Burial was in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
