SHELBY - Glenda Lee Haynes, 52, of 311 East Ross Grove Church Road, departed this life on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born on May 15, 1962, in Cleveland County, to Frances Pettis Lee and the late Charlie Evans Lee.
Glenda was a member of Eskridge Grove Baptist Church where she participated in the Albina Toms Mission Group. Glenda was also a past member of the choir and Soul Survivors of Eskridge Grove.
Glenda was a 1980 graduate of Crest High School and attended the University of Greensboro and received her certificate of completion for Insurance through Noble Education. She was employed with Schletter, Inc. and was a licensed Insurance Agent.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Le;e and a brother, Charles E. Lee.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her mother, Frances Lee of Shelby; a daughter, Tiana Haynes of Gastonia; a son, Denzel Haynes of Charlotte; one granddaughter, Ti'Aisha of Gastonia; three sisters, Mary Meeks (Russell) of Shelby, Helen Houze (Gene) of Grover, and Wanda Jackson (Thurston) of Landrum, S.C.; one brother, Larry Lee of Shelby; nine nieces and nephews; twelve great-nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, and at other times at her home.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Eskridge Grove Baptist Church
Officiated by: Pastor Stickland Maddox officiating.
Burial: Will take place at the church cemetery.
Funeral home: Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
