Glenn Hawkins

MOORESBORO - George Glenn Hawkins, 77, of Goode Road, died on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on Nov. 27, 1936, a son of the late Earl and Oveida Lail Hawkins.
He was retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a Tour Director with Toney Tours. He was a member of Race Path Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, operated the sound, worked with the R.A.'s and Youth and loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Curtis Hawkins; one daughter, Robin Hawkins Waters and husband John of Mooresboro; one grandson, Will Waters of Mooresboro.
Visitation: The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
Celebration of life service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Race Path Baptist Church
Officiated by: The Revs. Randall Cooper and John Godfrey
Burial: Will follow in the church cemetery.
