Isabell Setzer

BOILING SPRINGS - Isabell Carroll Shuffler Setzer, 77, of Boiling Springs, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Lee Shuffler and Sadie Gertrude Smyre Shuffler.
She worked and later retired from Crest Middle School and Kings Mountain Middle School after 30 years of teaching. Mrs. Setzer loved spending time with her family. She also loved gardening, tending flowers, cooking, and reading books. She was a member of Who's Who at Gardner-Webb University. She was also a member at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Setzer is survived by her husband of 55 years, Manuel Allen Setzer of the home; two sons, Paul Setzer of Kings Mountain and John Setzer of Boiling Springs; one daughter, Melinda Jordan and husband Kenneth Blanton of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Christopher Jordan of Boiling Springs and Private First Class James Allen Jordan stationed in South Korea; four brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Boiling Springs Baptist Church
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum
