James Edward "Jim" Adams

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mr. James "Jim" Edward Adams, 74, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Huntsville, Ala., he was the son of the late Sam and Cleo Pitman Adams. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Collectors International and retired after 30 years as a collector. He was of the Church of Christ denomination. His passion was collecting, scuba diving, cave explorations and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lula Mae Canady Adams of Kings Mountain; son, Sean Adams and wife, Traci, of Kings Mountain; daughter, Cheri Adams Hartman of McMinnville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Heather Cheri Hartman and Josh and Sarah Adams; and great-grandchild, Brianna Adams.
Memorial service: Wednesday, June 11 at 11 a.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes before the service.
