Jimmie Howell

GROVER - Jimmie Lee Howell, 73, resident of 1249 Lavender Road, Grover, passed away March 16, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in Cleveland County to the late James "Jim" Howell and Mamie Correll Howell.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Howell; brothers, Billy T. Howell and James "Dud" Howell, and sister, Peggy Mullinax.

He was retired from Duke Power Company and was a member of First Baptist Church, Grover. He was a mason at Lodge #375.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Cleveland County Hospice for the exceptional care.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kay McCarter Howell, Grover; daughters, Leigh Howell, Grover, Kelly Crocker and husband Michael, Grover; granddaughters, Tasha Fort, Ashley Engle, Lisa Howell; grandsons, David Howell, Michael Mayberry, Chase Mayberry, and Cody Crocker; great-granddaughter, Taylor Engle; great-grandsons, Hunter Williams, Hayden Williams, Abel Fort; brother, Richard Howell and wife Esther, Shelby; sister-in-laws: Lisa Booth and husband Bill, Vinton, Va., Gwenne McCarter, Blacksburg, SC and brother-in-law, Roger Mullinax, Grover.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home, 1249 Lavender Road, Grover

Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Grover

Burial: Grover Cemetery
