Jimmy Smith

SHELBY - Jimmy Lee Smith, 78, died June 26, 2013, at Hospice of Wendover.

He was a native of Rutherford County, son of the late Charles Ralph Smith and Ola Baynard Smith.

He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School Class of 1955 and also a graduate of Cleveland Community College. Jimmy enjoyed playing music, fishing, and spending time with his daughter and grandson. He was preceded in death by brothers, C.
Everett Smith, Charles Ralph Smith and sister, Ola Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hamrick Smith of the home, a daughter, Sherry Smith Foster and husband Tommy of Ellenboro, a grandson, Daniel Foster of Ellenboro, brothers, Marshall Smith of Forest City and Paul Smith of York, SC, a sister, Shirley Blanton of Ellenboro.

The family will have visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at The Padgett and King Mortuary in Forest City and other times at the residence.

Interment will be held privately at a later date in the Cleveland Memorial Park.
