GAFFNEY, S.C. - Charles Keith (Petticoat) Harrison, 60, of 1233 Wilcox Avenue, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Donna Earls Harrison and son of the late Rev. Charles Avery Harrison and Joann McKinney Harrison.
Mr. Harrison was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Hoechst Celanese after 34 years of service, and was a board member and volunteer at Peach Center Ministries. Keith had a great sense of humor, mischievous at times, and loved working on cars and fishing. He had a servant's heart, always placing others before him. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher. Keith was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family first. He was a loyal friend to many and never met a stranger.
In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Clayton Harrison of Blacksburg; a daughter, Kristy Young and husband Chris of Grover; six grandchildren, Zachery Greene, Olivia Young, Baker Kole Harrison, Brooklyn Mikayla Harrison, Chandlar Lane Harrison and Natalie Grace Harrison; a brother, Danny Harrison of Gaffney; and a sister, Tammie McGee of Gaffney.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brannon Keith Harrison.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Kristy and Chris Young, 114 Chestnut Street, Grover.
Funeral service: 3 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Baptist Church
